Vera Brook is a neuroscientist turned science fiction & fantasy writer and the author of the Sand Runner series. Her short fiction has appeared in Cast of Wonders, The Colored Lens, HyphenPunk, Radon Journal, and Factor Four Magazine, and is forthcoming in Analog SF. Vera is also a bookworm, and perpetually torn between reading books and writing them.
