Blogging and Sudden Inspirational Moments

So, we'll see if I can sustain a blog. I'm going to give it a go for a while.

Today's thoughts:
Inspiration is triggered by odd things. Just got Michael Sullivan's - Age of Myth on audiobook and was only a few sentences in when my mind started whirring on the way to work today. (At the time of this writing, I am also a Maths Lecturer at Chichester College). I had to stop the audiobook, so I won't miss any more of the story and asked Siri to start the voice recorder.

I spent the rest of my journey on the lovely backroads and then M27 talking to my phone about possible things to add to Book 2 and 3 of Knights of Salucia.

I liked Michael Sullivan's advice about writing all the books before publishing. As a self-published author without a contract I don't have a specific deadline to meet other than the artificial ones I give myself, but with a story like the Knights of Salucia series, I too am weaving multiple threads and need to be careful about keeping them all woven together in a meaningful and purposeful way.

I've gained some traction and momentum to help push through the huge amount of rewriting still needed to be done before I feel better about Book 2's manuscript. Wish me luck!
