Monday writing update and NaNo plans

Hello everyone, I’m back from Bangkok and ready to take on a new week of writing, and to get going with Camp NaNoWriMo! But first, what did I do last week?

I wrote my as-yet-untitled Christmas story, that I started plotting early in the morning last Friday if you remember? I wrote like a fiend and managed more than half of it last week! Admittedly, it’s not going to be very long: I aim for around 10-12K words. But still!

I’m really happy with it so far and I updated my NaNo plans to include t...

#RainbowSnippets

Weekends means Rainbow Snippets-time here on the blog, since I’ve joined the  Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook. According to their description, “it’s a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction—a WIP or a finished work of even 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).”

My snippet this week is from my current WIP, a Christmas story that is yet to be named. To get into the spirit of the season, I’ve listene...

Weekly writing update

Happy Monday, everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine kind of got away from me and it was so bad I didn’t have time to do a #RainbowSnippets post. Don’t you just hate it when real life interferes with the fun stuff? Also, I will have to start scheduling the posts so this problem won’t happen again

Early morning plotting

How come I always come up with all my ideas when I’m about to go to sleep, or early in the morning if I open my eyes even for just a second.

Like this morning. I stumbled into the bathroom and did my business and had every intention of going back to sleep. But as I pulled the cover over my head, an idea popped into my head.

I considered getting up to write, but I glared at the time and decided against it. But I was afraid of forgetting my idea, so I did what I always do. I texted myself.

But...

Writing update

Time for my writing update for last week:

Nothing. I wrote nothing.

Blog post done.

Okay…not really done. I did some things. I edited a couple chapters of The Locked Room. I sent out review-requests for Unconditionally. And I wrote a blog post. That’s about it.

But I did something else. I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo.

I’ve never been interested in NaNoWriMo because I think it’s crazy to commit to writing 50000 words in 30 days. But after researching what Camp NaNoWriMo is, I decided maybe I...

Saint Patrick’s Day sale – 30% off!

If you’re like me and prefer a good book over a pint of Guinness, now’s your chance! JMS Books—publisher of Unconditionally—are having a Saint Patrick’s Day sale. 30% off all e-books in their store, even pre-orders, all through Sunday.

It’s a great opportunity to take a chance on a new author like me, or support a trusted favorite. I think I’ll do some shopping myself: there’s a couple of books I’ve had my eye on but not yet bought.

Clickety-click this link to buy Unconditionally, and make m...

Tired writer

This is me. Seriously. All last week I was too tired to get any writing done, and yesterday I was too tired to even post my writing update like I usually do on Mondays. Bad, lazy writer.

I’m tired, guys. I either need two weeks sleep or a coffee IV-drip, whatever’s more efficient.

Anyway. What did I do last week? I edited one chapter of The Locked Room. I wrote a bonus scene to celebrate my one week anniversary of the release of Unconditionally. I decided to name MC2 in my WIP Jerome. And I...
