New Release Spotlight: Surfacing Again by A.L. Lester

Today, I’m once again welcoming the lovely A.L. Lester to my blog, who’s here to talk about the new Celtic Myth collection release, Surfacing Again. I’m told there are otters and ladies and mouthwatering baked goods in this story, and since that sounds fabulous, I’m gonna go read it now. Why don’t you join me? 🙂

Surfacing Again: Cinnamon and Apple Muffins

Thank you so much for having me here today to visit, Nell! I am popping in to tell everyone that I have a new short story out for th...

New Release Spotlight: The Scent of Pine by Holly Day

Hello, everyone! Thank you, Nell, for letting me drop by 🥰 Today, The Scent of Pine is released. It’s my 12th story of this year, and I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit impressed by myself LOL. (Nell, who’s talking about herself in third person apparently, is super impressed, too!! Great job, you!)

A little over a year ago, I was with my two youngest at a playground, and I sat on a bench watching them, and as always when I’m not close to my computer, I had an idea for the story I was writin...

Goodbye November

…and good riddance. November is my least favorite month and this year has been no exception. All the beauty of the autumn is gone, and all that’s left is bare trees and darkness. When I started going through my phone to see what pictures I could use to illustrate November, 90% of the photos I’ve taken is of our fireplaces, because I’ve been cold and grumpy all month. 😁 But after scrolling through my photo album several times, I found ten pictures from November I thought I’d share with you.

5 Books to Look Forward to in December

December is right around the corner and I actually have a bunch of days off from the Day Job around Christmas, so I’m in the process of filling up my virtual book shelf so I have something to read when I can spend my days on the couch in front of the fire, drinking tea immersed in a good book.

There are five upcoming JMS Books releases I have my eye on, and I thought I’d share, if you’re also on the lookout for something to read.

The Scent of Pine is Holly Day’s 12th release this yea...

Black Friday…eh Saturday? Sale and a Pre-Order

Who’s up for a Black Friday sale? But Nell, you say, Black Friday was yesterday! Yes, you’re right, of course, but I simply didn’t have the time to tell you about this yesterday. But lucky for us, JMS Books decided to extend the Black Friday sale into today, too, so there’s still time to buy cheap books.

And I’m not kidding when I say cheap books, because JMS Books offers 60% off all e-books, including pre-orders. So what’s better than to tell you that my Christmas story, The Santa Emergency...

Advent calendar @ M/M Euro Book Banter on Facebook

I’m not a huge fan of Facebook. I mean, I’m a member and I have an author page, but I don’t have my own group. I’m a member of a few groups, but I’m not very active because to be honest, I haven’t really understood the purpose of groups. Maybe it’s because I’m too introverted to be in huge group of people, even if this group is completely online and I don’t have to actually see them in real life?

But there’s one group where I’m trying a bit more to be active; the M/M Euro Book Banter. Have y...

The Perfect Sunday™

Happy Sunday, everyone. I’ve decided that today will be The Perfect Sunday™ because wouldn’t it be nice if we didn’t have to do any of the boring adulting stuff and could just indulge in things that make up happy? So in that perfect world, my Perfect Sunday™ would look like this:

(Oh, and a caveat: this is The Perfect Sunday™ for November. If you ask me in July, it’ll look completely different.)

The Perfect Sunday ™ : a Moodboard. I should’ve added a rain cloud because rain will preferably smat...

New Release Spotlight: The Quid Pro Quo by A.L. Lester

Today, I welcome the lovely A.L. Lester back to my blog. She’s here to talk about her newest release, The Quid Pro Quo.

The Quid Pro Quo: Walter Kennett

Hello there everyone! Thank you so much to Nell for letting me drop in today to tell you all about my latest release.

The Quid Pro Quo is the second in the Bradfield trilogy, although it will stand alone. It’s set a few months after the end of The Fog of War and stars Walter Kennett, Sylvia’s friend, and Simon Frost, a detective who com...

New Release Spotlight: How to Soothe a Dragon by Holly Day

My friend Holly Day is back on the blog! This is her eleventh release this year, so can we just take a moment to admire how freaking productive and creative she is? And on top of that, she’s a lovely human being, so if you’ve never read any of her stories, maybe give her a try? 🙂

Hello! *waves* Thank you so much, Nell, for letting me swing by again. Yesterday, How to Soothe a Dragon was released. It’s a story I wrote to celebrate National Button Day, which is on November 16.

I had this...

Ode to the Short Story

I love short stories. You all know I love writing them, but I love reading them even more. They’re perfect if you’re impatient like me and don’t want to wait five hundred pages for the HEA 😁 Or for when you don’t have much time, but still want to read something. And this last part, is what I’m going to write about today.

stagestruck

My alarm goes off at 5am on the mornings I need to go into the office to work the Day Job (Tues thru Thurs), and one morning, I simply didn’t want to get out of bed. I ...
