I think that I could write for the rest of my life and never run out of tax subjects! Not sure I should be answering this question -- my problem is time. But in giving this some thought, I believe the answer is this question is "wood". If your space is a mess and you can't even see any wood on your desk, you are overwhelmed and choking. Even when I am swamped, I have to take the time to stop everything and organize my space. I think a feng shui master would keel over if s/he ever entered my office. The stacks and piles are not healthy. Organize your area so you can sit down and think. My opinion on writer's block. In fact, I think I'm going to take my own advice right now.(less)

One of the best things is the hilarious comments you get from colleagues and others when they hear that you wrote a book.

I eat, live and breathe taxes, and anyone who knows me is aware of that fact. Yet colleagues will ask "What's it about?". I look at them in shock. First, I'd say "pink cupcakes". When I get really annoyed, I say it's called Mein Kampf and it's about my nutty ramblings. (I really should stop that.) Maybe I should say something about tulips or Gucci bags......

Seriously, the best think about being a writer is hearing how you helped someone with your book, and they learned about taxes and I made it easy. That tells me I did my job. (less)
