Los Angeles-born, Carol Es is known for creating personal narratives within a wide spectrum of media — painting, fiction, nonfiction, music, video, and handmade Artist’s books. After nine years, she's finished her first book, a narrative nonfiction work, Shrapnel in the San Fernando Valley (to be published in early 2019). She has written articles for the Huffington Post, Whitehot Magazine, and Coagula Art Journal, and her prose has been published in zines and small presses — Bottle of Smoke Press, Islands Fold, and Chance Press among them, as well as various self-published works.
