Christened 'The Hardest Working Woman in the Arts,' Chicago native Cat Ellington is a highly distinctive public figure whose professional creativity extends a number of artistic fields, including music, movies, art, and literature.

A multi-genre songwriter, casting director, poet, and professional art model, the innovative Ellington is also the author of the Reviews by Cat Ellington Complete Anthology book series, and co-author of The Making of Dual Mania: Filmmaking Chicago Style.

Outside of her professional element, Cat enjoys reading, listening to tons of music, cooking, baking, collecting charm bracelets, watching Lifetime Movies, sailing, jet skiing, playing tennis, and eating frozen yogurt — lots of it.

“After you have done your work—challenging as it may have been to complete—and released it in the marketplace, be not concerned with sales, reviews, critical acclaim, or anything else of the like... After you've written and published a book, you're now an AUTHOR. And that great honor can NEVER be taken away from you, no matter what. ("My Book Place," 2018)”

“I would never quit on a book, even if it’s awful. Once I start something, I believe in finishing it. The process of completing such a book will take me that much longer, but I wouldn’t abandon it altogether. ("The IndieView," 2017)”

“I am an author of the analytical critique. And because of that, a ton of research is done by me in order to bring an examination into comprehensive being. ("Interviews With Writers," 2018).”
