Meagan grew up in Alaska writing poems about injustice and hot boys. She left Alaska to study poetry and literature then spent fifteen years in government communications before breaking up with her career to pursue creative writing. She earned her MFA in fiction at Pacific Lutheran University’s Rainier Writing Workshop, and now lives and plays in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, daughter, dog, cat, two stinky goats, and many chickens.

“When we are green, still half-created, we believe that our dreams are rights, that the world is disposed to act in our best interests, and that falling and dying are for quitters. We live on the innocent and monstrous assurance that we alone, of all the people ever born, have a special arrangement whereby we will be allowed to stay green forever”
