Deneb Mythos #3: The Exodus
When the old king Breeg went missing, his right-hand man took control. Breeg’s son and true heir to the throne, Elzri, was much to young to rule a thriving kingdom in the desert. Why, commanding such a place would surely be impossible for anyone to do after Breeg disappeared. And it was. This is what happens when a government abandons its people. Yet one question remains. Where would an entire government go after abandoning that which it governed?

All my sentiments
Have prices and
Item numbers
Everything can
Come down to
Dollars
And cents
Every trinket
On my shelf
Every memory
Of every day
At least
If you see it
That way

Lady Cali’s Bones
There’s a special kind of
Cold that’ll brush across
Your face
With slender fingers
And painted nails
It’ll feel so sweet yet so
Welcoming
Like when you leave the window
In your bedroom open
And the night invites
Itself in
While you’re undercover
Under covers
Disguised as someone
Who should be sleeping
Yet a thrall to answer
Her heedsome call
An aura of attraction
And a magic with mystery
So cold yet so engulfed
In energy

Bird in the Oil Spill
24 Hours
More than a few
Coffee shop stops
A fair share of
What we call
Snuggling
And
Wonderfukiness
Top Gear for five hours
Showering for two
At lunch for seven
Sex for four
Three sunrises
Flavored
Brown sugar and cinnamon
Vanilla
And almond
Under blankets
On the couch
Or in bed
We had a pillow to share
Like I shared my sweater
With you
After I didn’t bring
You back your underwear

Another Round
Go Away
K
It’s anything you want
Don’t talk to me like that
(Even then I do it to you)
And be here after I tell you
We should take the day off
Because I’ll get mad if you’re not
You need to ask me what’s wrong
When I’m upset
‘Cause I won’t tell you
I’ll do things that are bad for us
But it’ll help me feel much better
Please apologize
For everything you did wrong
But don’t at all worry
About the things I won’t say sorry
For
Does it matter much to you
How much these things
I have thought throug...

Pure Inhuman Energy Advance
I can’t stop shaking my leg
Or jamming to the music
One 20 ounce Red Bull drained
Dragonforce is playing
Operation Ground and Pound
On loop
It’s really difficult to
Feel bad
When I’m doing things that
I enjoy so much
The Red Bull helps my leg
Shake in tune to the
Insanely fast music
Like I’m part of the song
And work’s getting done
It’s not a crime to be
Taken over by the force
Of intruding high energy
Party goers invading
My blood stream
Like an ethnic war
They’re the coolest
And fun to be a...

Adding to the… – Journal 4/15/17
Catalogue! That’s the last word in that phrase! Because I’m housesitting and that’s the title of a poem I wrote one time that’s about housesitting!
So logic would err on the side of me being able to get a lot of writing done for once, but you have to understand, when I’m housesitting I take a pretty decent vacation from myself for as long as I can. But that doesn’t mean I’m not writing, of course. I feel like I say that a lot. Which is fine! I’m a writer! It’s what I do!
In the spirit of that...
Stamina
A dragon force
Compels us
And every running
Beat of our feet
Uphill bothways
Like a punk engine
Kicking the bass drum
And smashing the snares
(One-two
One-two-three
One-two
One-two-three)
Tapping into the roots
Of road and gravel
Softly sprinting
Unceasingly
Why we have
Endurance for days
I’ll never know
Within the haste
We know there’s a
Meaning for the beating
Far away we know
The destination lies
Through the thick
Adrenaline
We know the answers
To the “Why?”s
We’re just flesh
And metal sol...
