Tattoos and Piercings – Journal 10/2/17

My opinion on the two title matters has been a thing of variance since high school. I used to be super not into the idea of anything of the sort, and this was for a few reasons that will surely lead up to some cool moral at the end of this journal.

Back in high school, people with any kind of body mods were dead ringers for deadbeats. People with very anti-social interests would commonly get them as a form of rebellion rather than a demonstration or expression. Things seem so easy as putting...

House of Wolves

You live still
You live now
In a desert home

Away from
The city
Now you roam

Reality pelts
Draped over
As clothes

Obsidian heads
Sharp on
Memory arrows

A bow you draw quick
To shoot
From experience

So the memory
Hunts
What reality is

Bows have been drawn
With each
Wolves’ last breath

A house of
Their pelts
Safe and secure

A house of wolves
In the desert
Where you now roam

A hidden estate
Among
Shifting sands

That bury the bones
Of
Reality packs

A pack of wolves buried
For a house
To be built

Cloud Complex – Journal 9/28/17

And of course, the two last classes I’m taking at Pierce I get classes with the “smart guy”. Oh, yes, you know who I’m talking about.

The unaware, inquisitive pricks that sit in the far back of the room and ask (of their own accord) “random, unrelated” questions. Effectively, they put a leech on time in a class I’ve paid quite a bit of money for. In high school, these types are great fun. I was one of them!

But in college, oh man, in college. This is great. Already I’ve found nine separate...

Probably Poisoned

Sitting across from
Nightmares
And shaking
While I’m sipping
Licorice tea

That they
Made for me

Amoral

Invasion upon invasion
Of her forces
Smash against the
City walls

One by one
Our archers fall
To flaming arrows
That kill ’em all

Black hearted hero
Brave hearted evil
We are all
We are all we are

I can be a bad guy
They can be the good ones

Ramming our gates
We’re under siege
Climbing the stone
Their destiny

And ours is one
That puts an end to them

Storming the fields, now
We’re flesh and metal
Swords and shields with
Steel boots on the ground

Steel boots
Ground and pound

We are amoral
Fight...

Disintegration

Mites inside
Rotting wood

A fire set in
Another wing

Combining with
Crumbling drywall

A choking sawdust
Mixed together
With the rust
Of negligence

Bitter taste of
Blood iron

Coats the mouth
With film strips

Come home
To ruin

Poikilothermal Special – Rehashed

While the Mount Si series has a wide umbrella of poems under its shadow (fucking wordplay, yes), today I’m going to zoom in on a set of three I wrote to the sound of a single song. Poikilothermal, Poikillmethermal, and Poised To Kill Me Thermally. Let’s start with the beginning!

Poikilothermal – Text

Before we go any further, the song I have in mind is “Kill Me” by Xilent, and here’s a bit of background on what meaning it has to me. So back in August of last year, 2016, I was housesitting th...

Right at the focal point, right when I’ve moved the camera, a little painting forms.
