Egyptian Link!

Hi folks,

Book 3 of the Chroma Trilogy is getting there!

Read Imogen's Destiny, the final book of the Chroma Trilogy, later this year.

A sneak preview of the opening:
Egypt 1324 BC. Tutankhamun was dead. Nineteen, barely come of age. His hastily constructed tomb in the Valley of the Kings was about to be sealed.
Tutankhamun’s Vizier looked down upon the ornate funerary mask placed over the dead Pharaoh’s head. It was stunningly beautiful. Gold lapis lazuli, carnelian, quartz, obsidian, turquoise and crystal forged into a tantalizingly magnificent work of art. The eyes of the vulture and cobra at the brow of the mask glinted in the light of the flaming torches, the snake’s head frozen in strike position. The former advisor studied the bejeweled reptile’s head, poised to defend the king from attack. Too late, he thought sardonically...

Book 2 close!

The second book of the Chroma trilogy - 'Imogen's Journey' is nearly there. The action in the final book is very inter-related to Book 2, so publication may be delayed until Book 3 is also close to finished. Sorry to those who are waiting, but I hope you will think it is worth it.
Many thanks for your patience.

Slow but steady progress

Book 2 is slowly getting written. Wish there were more hours in the day! Little sneak bit of information - Book 2 will start with a termination. Dark, but necessary.

Feeling Inspired

A flash of inspiration yesterday had me leaping up and down. One of those 'Yes!' moments.

The nitty gritty for the next 2 books of the Chroma series is falling into place and I just wish I had more writing time. Can't wait to get stuck in. Happy times.

Christmas is coming!

My Christmas starts early as my family arrive tomorrow. Plus side - looking forward to 10 fun filled, slightly mad days. Down side - not expecting a moment to write! It is all going on in my head and will have to remain there for the time being.

I am 'Author of the Day' on Tuesday 19th December on Many Books.net so if you're interested, pop over to see how I answered some very deep (and not so deep!) questions.

A very happy Christmas to you in soft warm orangey/green hues

Day 4

Chroma is launched - offered for free digitally and the proceeds of the book signing I did at Sainsbury's, plus this months royalties, will go to St Ann's Hospice. Already up to £220.
Very satisfying.
The printed book is #23 in YA Mysteries / Science Fiction in the paid store, UK. Very happy with that.

Hope people are enjoying the read. Back to Book 2...

Getting ready for launch!

Well, my debut YA novel, Chroma: Imogen's Secret, is about to launch publicly on 20th November 2016.
It has now been on a 'stealth' launch, to attract third party honest reviews, for a few days and I have to say, I am blown away, not only with the positivity of these reviews, but the fact that each reviewer has clearly read the book with interest and each has picked out a different aspect of the novel to highlight.
As a first timer I am a little insecure over my 'baby' but with the great comments I have got so far, I feel I can finally let this little one go and stand on it's own two feet as I crack on with the next book.
Hoping the launch will attract a lot of interest.
