Becky Wright is an independently published author, with a passion for history and the supernatural.

Blessed, she lives in the heart of the English Suffolk countryside, surrounded by rolling green fields, picturesque timber-framed villages, country pubs and rural churches. She is married, with a young son, four grown-up children, and grandchildren.

Family bonds and the intricacy of relationships feature strongly in her books. With her lifelong fascination for the supernatural and macabre her stories tend to lean towards the dark side.

“I’m currently tap-tapping away, working on my new novel. A dark Victorian Gothic horror, set in the incredibly atmospheric, Whitby.”

Books include:

Becky Wright, The Manningtree Account

“Now the woman, she was another story. Her instinct was strong. She had sensed the darkness. But she was curious. Afraid. Soon she would return, because she had to. All she had to do was lift the lid. It would dispose of her in a little while. Once night had fallen. All it wanted was the child.”
Beverley Lee, The Making of Gabriel Davenport

“With trembling legs, Beth forced herself to stand. The smoke rose, spreading in a slow, measured ebb and flow. It looked like it was breathing. She was beyond fear now, trapped in that primeval place of fight or flight. She”
