Any mystery …moreMost of the mysteries in my life are pretty lame. Like who keeps leaving the sponge in the kitchen sink so that it starts smelling musty? Any mystery worthy to be written about would have to be embellished...a lot. I would probably use a ghost story about strange occurrences happening in a house. A few strange things have happened in my own house. I used to have different alarms go off randomly at midnight on Monday. Sometimes I swear I hear footsteps down the hallway, or pacing up and down the main stairs when no one else is home. A few times, a bell or wind-chimes would jingle in the other room when no one hit them to cause them to ring. Is my house haunted? Maybe. Maybe not. But if I used it in a story, it most definitely would be haunted and there would be a mystery surrounding the ghost. (less)

Empire of Storms Review

What carried me through QoS was Mannon & Elide's story lines. After Mannon escaped her grandmother in the first quarter of EoS, the excitement there just dropped off. Elide remained the only interesting story line for me, but her POVs were few and far between. That is one of the many reasons for my low ranking on this book.
