My latest novel, Madame Fiocca, is now available. Based on a true story, this gripping adventure follows the tempestuous life of Nancy Wake before and during the Second World War.

The Beauty Shop, my debut novel, was awarded the B.R.A.G. Medallion. It is based on the true story of Sir Archibald McIndoe and the Guinea Pig Club - an exclusive club for RAF pilots and airmen who required plastic surgery as a result of their war injuries and were under the care of this enigmatic New Zealander and pioneering plastic surgeon.

I am presently working on my latest book, a contemporary romance, due to be released later in 2020, after which I will be continuing with the next historical fiction title.

Music is the only noise I will allow in my head while writing. Tv, radio, conversation are all distracting but music is good for the mind and soul, and I believe it helps me create. Fortunately, I haven't had any major problems with writer's block as yet.(less)

The Forgotten History of the Radium Girls By Historical Fiction Author Samantha Wilcoxson

I have loved reading about history for as long as I can remember. On more than one occasion, I was asked what class I was reading a book for and I had to admit that it was something I had selected to read for enjoyment. Yet, I was not familiar with the story of the “radium girls” until I listened to Kate Moore’s excellent book.It was one of those snippets of history that seems unbelievable. "A wonderful historical novel based on the true story of Nancy Wake, a journalist who fought against the injustices done by the Nazis in occupied France. I enjoyed this story about a fascinating and brave woman, who I had never heard of before.

“Sometimes you're trying so hard to get your life together and still it's not enough, everything is falling apart. What to do, you're asking.
