Vol. 1: Cigarette Lullaby by Live Conform Die
Beautiful clash of musical styles and influences from this band from Perth, Australia. I found them on Bandcamp. It is not often that I hear something one time and instantly know its for me but this was one of those occasions. There are so many elements to this band. It's a delectable cacophony of sounds. I hate to draw comparisons but I heard Korn, Vildhjarta, Humanity's Last Breath, Slipknot and a mashup of

Metal Meditation
Metal Meditation??

Yes, you read it correctly, Metal Meditation, as in Heavy Metal Meditation. The thought of someone listening to loud music while headbanging may not conjure the nice peaceful atmosphere you are used to when thinking of meditation so I'll try to explain how I successfully incorporated metal music into my meditation practice.
Back in my twenties I started a long path of studying various philosophies, religions, occult practices, etc. and was exposed to many forms of

Lessons of Darkness
A new story idea emergeswhile contemplating dark things.
As Ive mentioned in the past much of my writing is influenced by some of the dark thoughts that I contemplate and then project into scenarios and thought experiments which then can become stories populated with characters that help me understand these concepts or emotionally/psychologically deal with them.
It was while continuing to work on the development of Horn and Dagger that a particular idea occurred to me based on some

Progress not perfection.

There have been many times where I have seen a thought provoking documentary or read a great book that made me feel like I could be a better person. I then think that maybe this (whatever the book or documentary proposed) would be one way to go about getting myself togethermentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. At the same time, however, I dont want to go to the extremes that some of these individuals went through but I simultaneously feel compelled to

Endings
Why I don't interpret my story endings.
I'll start this off by stating that there are no spoilers in what I'm about to write. Recently I started receiving emails and questions regarding the ending of my two novels, The Strands and In the Shadow of the Witch (more for In the Shadow of the Witch). These questions always loop back to asking me what the ending meant. Good question. But not one I felt I should answer. Why? I'll try to explain.
