The basic way I have worked through artist's block is to do work I really enjoy. It's taken me many years and you just have to practice. For years I had to force myself to do art, 5 minutes a day might be a good start. But for the last 2 years I have had to force myself to not do art.(less)

I bought a dumpster that was delivered last Friday and will be picked up tomorrow. I'm proud that I have been able to throw away my artwork. Something that in 2010, I thought I could never do. I think there are a lot of librarians on this list. Since I found out about this site from librarians, it's a good guess.

“Maybe there's a God above,
As for me, all I've ever seemed to learn from love
Is how to shoot at someone who outdrew you.
Yeah but it's not a complaint that you hear tonight,
It's not the laughter of someone who claims to have seen the light
No it's a cold and it's a very lonely Hallelujah.”
Leonard Cohen

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
