Lettie Prell is a science fiction writer; She has also published fantasy and poetry. Her haiku was featured in the Iowa Drama Workshop production of Kali Ma!. Her stories have appeared in Apex Magazine, Analog Science Fiction and Fact, Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, Paranormal Underground and elsewhere.

Today at my day job, I wrote a last newsletter article for someone who is about to retire. He'd emailed me a brief list of topics he wanted to cover, and they were so cryptic--people's names with no explanation, for example--that I had to call him and ask what it all meant.
