Really, Kaige? Really?
Below is a little text exchange between Kaige and Tora. He’s just a little egotestical, don’t you think? #bloodpromise #tonyakerrigan

Words of Life By Thing 4
The other day me and Thing 4 were at the store because she was having a candy attack. She had a limited amount of money to spend and perused the candy aisle. After a bit, she became discouraged because, let’s face it, high-quality candy and chocolate is expensive. She threw her hands in the air in exasperation and said, “Why is candy so expensive? You’re basically paying to get cavities!”
How right you are, Thing 4. How right you are.

A Great Mix of Humor, Action, & Horror
If you like your urban fantasy dark, steamy, with a bit of mythology thrown in along with a strong (albeit snarky) protagonist, then hopefully you’ll love Blood Promise. Keep reading for a little excerpt. Tora is that kick-ass type of girl whose Achille’s heel is empathy and compassion.
Wait, what? How does empathy and compassion make one weak? Well, in Tora’s case, she doesn’t really like killing people (which is good); but, considering what she is, she’s going to be expected to kill people...

Blood Promise Release Day!
Blood Promise released today! You can find it at Kobo, B&N, Apple, 24 Symbols plus Scribd and all the Amazon sites. I’m doing the happy dance that it’s finally out into the world. This journey took me…oh…six years. One lady who read the ARC (who used to own a bookstore) likened it to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Would you believe I’ve never read the Buffy books and only saw maybe one or two episodes years back? And even then, I don’t think I actually watched a full episode, yet now I’m finding...

Indie Author Day
So I just found out about an event called Indie Author Day where about 300 libraries across the country are hosting events for indie authors. Apparently, this is the inaugural event and they plan on doing this annually. You can click on the link above and find out where the library closest to you is hosting. It’s on October 8th, and I’m planning on going with Thing 3 and Thing 4.
I’m not sure how I didn’t hear of this before…or maybe I did and simply didn’t pay attention, but I am now! I gues...
