I read a lot of self help books, I’m totally a self help book junkie. The first few chapters of almost every book I have ever read has had the exact same effect – I feel energized and motivated to completely transform my life. The only problem is, after a few short days, the motivation and euphoric feeling that they bring soon fades and I’m back to my old procrastinating and underachieving self.

Her simple concept had an immediate and long lasting impact on every area of my life. Today we are cleaning and organizing a messy kitchen fast and on a small budget. Check out the before and after and hopefully you will be inspired by some of these easy and inexpensive kitchen organizing tips.
As a Professional Organizer, I often have to tackle messy spaces on a very short timeline and with a very tiny budget. I am so excited to be able to actually show you the transformation of this space. In under 3 hours we organized and cleaned this kitchen for this busy family of five. Easy Chalk Paint Makeover – Before and After
Watch this fast and easy chalk paint makeover! I chalk painted my fireplace, coffee table, end table and armoire all in one night for a fast and easy makeover! I hope you enjoy this Before and After makeover on a SUPER small budget and are inspired to give chalk painting a try for yourself!
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for this makeover (not sponsored). Here are the colours I used:
Base coat for tables and fireplace: Coco
Water wash overtop and dry brush: Duck Egg Blue and Aubusson Blue
Base Coat for Armoire: Duck Egg Blue
Dry Brush Colours over Fireplace: Graphite and Paris Grey
The fabric is from Fabricland (not sponsored) and was on clearance for just $6.00 a meter! Whoop Whoop!
This family room makeover was done in under 24 hours and for under $100 (I already had the chalk paint).
