Caimh is a man who wears many hats. As well as being an author, he is an award-winning writer for TV, a stand-up comedian and 'the voice of London Irish' rugby club. A Man With One of Those Faces was his first novel and it was released in 2016. It has since been followed by the second book in his Dublin Trilogy - The Day That Never Comes and the prequel Angles in the Moonlight. His books are fast-paced crime thrillers set in Caimh's home town of Dublin and are laced with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit.

In TV land, he has written for some of the biggest shows on British telly, including Mock the Week, The Sarah Millican TV Programme and Have I got News for You. He has also written a load of kids TV, including a cartoon series which he created

Honestly, I consciously made a decision early in my career to never use those words. There is a danger in adding a mystical element to the writing process in your own head because by definition, you're taking it out of your control.

I come from a background of having written a whole load of TV and there, you typically have to pitch an episode idea and then provide a detailed beat-by-beat breakdown of the idea before you ever get to writing it. That forces you to think things through long before you get to the writing stage. Writer's block to me is running out of road, how you avoid that is by making sure you've got a map. Even if you then take an entirely different route, you can always find your way to where you want to go eventually. (less)

Delighted to hear you're enjoying the books. I actually have only six full novels out, the rest of them are short stories/novellas that I write in between doing other things for a bit of fun. (If you go to Whitehairedirishman.com you can... See Full Answer

What a ride

Beautifully executed. I couldn't put this book down and I've lost a night's sleep. It will be copied often but rarely equalled.

Incredible achievement

I adored this book. I knew it would be funny but I was blown away by the warmth and charm of it. Moore is an absolute master and taking on such tricky subject matter and pulling it off with such aplomb is inspiring to read.
