Leigh has spent the better part of the last thirty years involved in homeless and poverty advocacy in one way or another. Her first novel – Road Home – was born out of this work. She wanted to make people think about their lives and how they live. But most importantly, about how they treat others and how they want to be treated. Her second novel - Road to Freedom - looks at how our lives don't always follow the path we choose. How the path to forgiveness can begin in unlikely places. And how love can bloom even among thorns. Is it ever too cold to take the plunge?

Okay, I understand these were short stories and there wasn't time to do deep dives. However, many of these were just too abrupt and left me hanging. So wish the author had taken the time to develop these more and had a few less stories as a result. M ...more
