Christy Mihaly is a nature lover and former lawyer who writes books, primarily nonfiction, for young readers. In 2022, she published two picture books: THE SUPREME COURT AND US, an introduction to the nation's highest court; and PATIENCE, PATCHES!, a fictional tale about a dog and a new baby.
Christy's 2021 picture book, Barefoot Books WATER: A Deep Dive of Discovery, takes young readers on a round-the-world tour of our planet's precious and powerful water. FREE FOR YOU AND ME (2020) is a poetic introduction to the First Amendment freedoms, in picture book form.
