Sometimes it's going outside and walking my dog, or getting another cup of coffee. Another trick I learned is writing the old-fashioned way. Just the act of putting pen to paper usually gets the words flowing again.(less)

This is different from the books I usually read, but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun, witty, and romantic with a surprise twist at the end that leaves you wanting more! Two thumbs up!!

"A magnificent memoir, a story which took me through a rollercoaster of feelings from beginning to end. Finding forgiveness is one of the hardest but most liberating acts of kindness."

This was an honest, emotionally charged story of a relationship between mother and daughter. There was so much I could relate to, which is why I enjoyed the book so much. It was a real page turner!
" Currently reading "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. I hope to finish this weekend. It's a pretty good read so far! "

“My journey began after my mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and dementia. To find peace and healing after my mother died, I had to go back to the beginning to find the answers I so desperately needed. Throughout my life, I saw only one side of her, the part that was my mother. It was important for me to understand who she was as a person, a human being, and a woman with a past.”
Susan Landeis, In Search of Rainbows: A daughter's story of loss, hope, and redemption

“At some point in our lives, many of us will find ourselves caring for a loved one. According to survey statistics, more than sixty-five million people in the United States provide care, and this number will only continue to increase as the elderly live longer and more people live with chronic illnesses. Most of us took on this role because of our desire to care for our loved one, and, of course, we want to do the best job we can.”
