Meia Geddes was born in Hefei, China, left to be discovered in a public place most likely due to China's former one-child policy. After two years in an orphanage and foster care, she was adopted and raised by her mother in Sacramento, California. Geddes is the author of a collection of lyrical missives addressed to the world as body, concept, and stranger, Love Letters to the World (2016), as well as a novella, The Little Queen (2017). Like Love Letters to the World, The Little Queen is, at its heart, about being a human in the world. Geddes received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and has been the recipient of a Fulbright grant to South Africa. She resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Meia Geddes, Love Letters to the World
