Doug Weldon, a Florida native, lives and works near the University of Florida, where he received his degree in fine arts. This was also where he and his high school friends traded science fiction and fantasy novels, diving headlong into what would become his future career. Influences include, Poul Anderson, Glen Cook, and David Brin. His first novel, Indravati, is a work of science fiction adventure. When not working on the next Indravati novel, he might be found canoeing Florida rivers in search of ice age fossils.
