Thank you!

I'll likely always be a fantasy writer first and foremost. And I have a lot of writing to do if I'm to get this whole tale out there. So I'm probably going to stick with fantasy of one stripe or another for a while.

The Outworlders is the first series in the Elalion Saga. ("Elalion" is the Elvish word for the world where Jarrod now finds himself; since the local people have no concept that they're on a planet, the closest thing I could come up with for naming the world is the Elvish term for it, which translates to "all the places I've seen.")

I intend for The Outworlders series--Jarrod's story--to be five books, plus an eventual prequel, King Ulo's origin story.

I have planned multiple series in different flavors of Fantasy and Science Fiction that interlock throughout this larger saga, including spinoffs under a series tentatively entitled "By The Sword" that will encompass novels based around side characters including Commander Daorah, Lady Aever, and Gale of Lor. These will touch back at points on some of the things that happen in Jarrod's story, only seen through the eyes of these characters.

The culmination of the Elalion Saga will be a science fiction-horror series with the current working title "Stonelands" about a shadowy government agency discovering the world you're now reading about in The Outworlders--think Stranger Things meets Game of Thrones with the sheth, the large ogrish things from Dragon's Trail, waging a jihad against the "Shiny Door Ones."

Right now the entire Elalion Saga is planned to span 16 books. I have two finished, and I'm currently writing two more at the same time (Book III of The Outworlders, Coin of the Realm; and Book I of Stonelands, working title Winterstone) while plotting the remaining 12, so it should all be complete sometime around 2035 if I play my cards right.

I don't anticipate that I'll have much time to branch out into any largely divergent genres for a while. But then, you never know what new stories are going to crop up.

Hey, it’s been a while.

I had the brilliant idea to start Book III right after releasing Book II, which gave me absolutely no time to do blog posts. The good news is that Book III sucked so bad in its first draft that I’m starting over with a blank page and taking a radically different angle of attack, which gives me some breathing room. Right now I’m back to sketching on legal pads.
