She writes the Fortune Bay books, a romantic women's fiction series set in the Pacific Northwest, and under the name J.M. Hudson, writes the Rocky and Bernadette murder mysteries.

Hi Jack,
I'm so glad Summer of Fortune resonated with you.
There's a reason I put friendship and family before happily-ever-after in my tag line. I think the family relationships and support we draw from our friends is universal - even if HEA sometimes isn't.

Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the book. I have quite a few male readers in my reader's group. I try to write from both male and female points of view, so it's nice to hear I'm hitting the mark.

Bingeing on Comfort Food.

Today it is bright and sunny. A real gift in late November here on Vancouver Island. But cloudless days mean cold days, and that means soup for lunch. I surprise myself by how often I write about food and cooking in my Fortune Bay books! It seems when I want to show a connection between […]

I really enjoyed this book. The perfect rundown but charming store that reminded me of a place I ran as a pottery studio in Toronto back in the day. The guy has just enough mystery and the quirky family is lots of fun. My kind of book!
