I have done almost everything in this book (or a variation of the activities) either growing up or with my own family. I truly believe that spending quality time together has helped my family to develop the close bonds that we share today. No family is perfect, but making an effort to spending quality time together can help to draw any family closer together.(less)

I am inspired by all of the courageous women out there who call themselves "mom" and I hope to help make their lives a little bit easier.

I think about the challenges and struggles that I have personally gone through. I ask and listen to the issues that other moms are facing. I use my own observations and successes and break them down into manageable steps so that other moms can be successful too.(less)

Arrrr! Me Thinks ye need yer treasure...

I have always admired the spirit of a pirate. To brave storms with only a bit of wood to protect you. To travel to foreign lands and learn about the cultures of others. To decipher clues and find long lost treasure of immeasurable value. The freedom and adventure of pirates may be romanticized in my mind, but it has always intrigued my imagination.

Amanda Mawhinney Frugal Family Fun Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite

Frugal Family Fun is the ultimate family resource with over 300 budget friendly activities. Amanda Mawhinney speaks about what being frugal means and how important it is in today's times when everyone is so busy and has no time for family. The book will help everyone work towards organizing fun family activities at minimum cost, which are affordable for all. Both outdoor and indoor activities suggested in the book are relaxing and will help to bring the family together. It makes the dreams of a perfect family come alive for everyone, and within a budget!

The book is an eye-opener to many of us and will help us understand that we don't need to spend a lot of time or money to have fun. The author extensively covers the topic and shares a lot of exciting tips and suggestions to have family fun without making a big dent in one's pocket. I find this book a good resource for building up better relationships with family members. The few questions at the end of each chapter are useful in making readers ponder. The guidance provided in the book is very methodical and can be put into practice without much difficulty. It's a well written book that will help everyone bond and reconnect in a better way with their families. It is also helpful in deciding which activity will suit each one's family to make their bonding enjoyable. The book speaks about a relevant topic and is very insightful.
