Hi, Geza

You're on the right track by writing in an always-popular genre, but sadly, as an ex-Hollywood-er, I can tell you the Industry wants nothing to do with micro-publishers. With the cost of international thrillers easily topping $50 million minimum, they'll only invest in majorly established authors, series, and publishers to make sure the rights are absolutely nailed down. The best way to land a movie deal is to get a novel published by the Big 5. The studios have scouts poring over every upcoming title, and in almost all cases, the movie rights are sold before the book hits the stands. (less)

The Last Pirate of New York by Rich Cohen
"Rich Cohen can write. If he couldn’t, this intriguing story wouldn’t stretch to book-length. Even then, even as he does flesh it out, you can see some of the seams. It’s a good story, cleverly told, but it’s more a testament to his ability to spin a " Read more of this review »

A Suspension of Mercy by Patricia Highsmith
"A superior psychological story; Highsmith tops herself!
Sydney and Alicia, married a bit under 2 years are not "happily married," for there are no cliches in Highsmith's world. They're not exactly unhappy either, they just don't have a lot in common. " Read more of this review »
