of
Bone Dragon (Legends of the Once & Future King #1):
"I am a real sucker for tales about King Arthur and his Knights, so I really enjoyed reading this book especially as it depicts such an original take on the usual story. I love that Arthur is depicted as being in love with Lancelot and the love triang"

Nothing But Readi...: Jewelled Umbrella Squids READ Books | 932 | 329 | Dec 02, 2016 11:05AM |

“We set out to save the Shire, Sam and it has been saved - but not for me.”
― The Return of the King
― The Return of the King

“Do you see, Harry? Do you see the flaw in my brilliant plan now? I had fallen into the trap I had foreseen, that I had told myself I could avoid, that I must avoid.”
“I don’t —”
“I cared about you too much,” said Dumbledore simply. “I cared more for your happiness than your knowing the truth, more for your peace of mind than my plan, more for your life than the lives that might be lost if the plan failed. In other words, I acted exactly as Voldemort expects we fools who love to act.
“Is there a defense? I defy anyone who has watched you as I have — and I have watched you more closely than you can have imagined — not to want to save you more pain than you had already suffered. What did I care if numbers of nameless and faceless people and creatures were slaughtered in the vague future, if in the here and now you were alive, and well, and happy? I never dreamed that I would have such a person on my hands.”
― Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I had submitted my book to Booktrope back about a year and a half ago and didn't hear anything back, so i thought that was it. I mentioned it to a friend who was in Booktrope, and she said to resubmit, as they have so many submissions. So I sent it off again and about 9 months later i received an acceptance email :-) I was shocked, to say the least! I was all set to attempt self publication so this was a full stop surprise. Seer of Souls is now about 6 weeks away from publication now and I am so excited to see it come to life! They are still accepting submissions, stop in at their website at Booktrope.com. The great thing about acceptance is, once you are in, they fast track your next book, no need to resubmit :-) Hybrid publishing is an awesome model!

Hey Kira! I am glad that we can share our love of books here too! Nice to connect, and feel free to recommend anything awesome you come across, I am always open to the next great read!
