“He was wrong about climbing not getting you anywhere. It can take you places most people only dream about. It can take you all around the world. It can take you up so high, you get a completely new view of the world around you. It can take you to places deep inside your own mind that you never knew existed. It can take you places where maybe you shouldn’t go.”
Kristin Bartley Lenz, The Art of Holding On and Letting Go

“By the time I settled in and concentrated on what we were doing, class was over. And everything had gone straight through my head like a breeze through an open window.”

“Mmm, freshly baked cookies. Even better, the rich, buttery scent had conquered the usual mothball odor.”
