Catalyst is here!

I'm happy to announce that the sequel to BEACON is now complete and available for pre-order. (I'm also looking for beta readers to leave reviews... if you're interested in being a beta reader, let me know and I will send a FREE review copy.)

Pre-order: https://books.pronoun.com/catalyst-2/

In Catalyst, the follow-up to my breakout novel, Beacon, Pastor Jo Benally struggles to cope with the realization that the innocent are not immune to the evils of the world. Chloe, a child in her congregation, can see vampires, and Jo decides to take on the role of protector for the girl, moving with Chloe’s family to Virginia.

But Jo’s presence may be more of a liability than an asset. Contrary to their solitary nature, vampires begin to congregate around Jo, whose powers as a Beacon are growing by the day. Realizing she facilitates love and lustful inclinations in those around her, Jo finds herself at the crux of an undead love triangle.

Making matters much more complicated, the murderous, immoral agency Jo worked for before turning to God reinserts itself into her life. RAND seeks to understand—and wield—the power of vampirism as a weapon. RAND must be stopped.

As matters come to a head, Jo suddenly understands her purpose in this bloody, dark, and violent world. Assuming the role of protector once again, Jo defends the vampires from RAND and teaches them to use their powers for good.

But will it be enough to save them?

Disgusting Promotional Post

Just a reminder if you haven't seen it on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, or Amazon... Beacon is on sale this weekend only for $0.99. On Monday, the price will go up to $1.99 and then it's back to its regular price of $2.99 on Wednesday (for the Kindle edition only).

In other news, it's a quiet weekend here in Newark, Ohio. I'll be balls to the wall trying to finish Catalyst, the sequel to Beacon so I can get it edited and published before November. Of course, I'm a lady so I don't have balls. I have cats instead. Yarn balls will be thrown at the wall to distract them so I can get my writing done... or else they tend to lie on my keyboard, making it very difficult to type.

Here's the Amazon link in case you need it:
https://www.amazon.com/Beacon-Jo-Benally-Book-1-ebook/dp/B01DIDY0H4

There's also a Goodreads giveaway going on for an autographed copy of the last "Cross" cover editions. That ends on June 30 - don't miss out. :)

Happy summer, wear sunscreen, and go read books (anyone's, not just mine),
November

November Ellison’s Newest Novel Beacon, Now On Amazon, Transforms the Vampire Genre

It’s always difficult to find fresh air in the vampire novel genre, and Beacon by November Ellison on Amazon perfectly deals with several common issues and reveals an extraordinary saga of Pastor Joanna Benally who leads a double life. Critically acclaimed for offering Paranormal fantasy at its best, the book creates a vampire mythology less romantic than TWILIGHT, less sexual than the Anita Blake series, less ordinary than the Mercy Thompson series, and less evil than classical vampire works from Bram Stoker, Stephen King, or Anne Rice. In a bid to create a more scientific explanation for vampirism fills in the gaps left by other mythologies, November explains why we aren't all human cattle to these immortal creatures. Along with a wonderful portrayal of Christian ethics and the science of electromagnetism, the book offers unforgettable characters and a unique perspective on the genre with a compelling story readers can’t put down.

One reviewer comments, “Beacon is a perfect afternoon read, a hard-to-put-down page turner that sucks you deep into an enchanted world filled with vampires, modern day realities, religious theology, the quest for redemption, and a complex love story between a pastor and a vampire. Beacon is a book you cannot put down until you reach the end: the kind of novel with unpredictable plots and twists, action-packed moments, characters you want to know in your everyday life, and a love story that breaks conventional notions. Beacon offers a refreshing, new spin on the vampire genre. I look forward to reading more from the Jo Benally series. Brava, November, on your debut novel!”

With an undergraduate degree in French and a graduate degree in sociology, November Ellison has been recognized for her work-related articles that have been published in magazines and on various websites. Her last work of fiction, a play published in 1994, is still being performed at several colleges and universities.
