I'm a Geordie bloke now living in London and I've ALWAYS written stories. Even when I served as an Aircraft Engineer on jet fighters in the Royal Air Force, I was always scribbling stuff. It was in the military where I learned to never take anything seriously!
Also, as an Environmental Scientist, working in factories (or on roofs, usually in the rain) measuring pollution, I always found time to let my imagination drift.
Later, as a Stay At Home Dad, stories became a real part of my job, leading to my debut - about the end of chocolate - to be published.
Now I have lots of fun visiting schools and libraries talking about my book and chocolate.
I'm also busy writing my next one ...
