A certified bookworm, Zoe Kalo has always been obsessed with books and reading. Reading led to writing—compulsively. No surprise that at 16, she wrote her first novel, which her classmates read and passed around secretly. The pleasure of writing and sharing her fantasy worlds has stayed with her, so now she wants to pass her stories to you with no secrecy—but with lots of mystery…

She’s had the good fortune of living on 3 continents, learning 4 languages, and experiencing a multicultural life. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in Comparative Literature. She lives in Belgium with her husband and two evil cats.

If that doesn't work, I take a walk to be alone with my thoughts. Or read or listen to an audiobook from an author I admire, like Joyce Carol Oates or Donna Tartt. Another trick is to plan the next scene or journal about what it is that is blocking me. It can be a plot problem, in which case the planning/journaling works. The more regularly I write, the easier it gets to get back on the page, the less the block. My routine is to write/revise for a minimum of 2 hours a day, Monday through Friday. I'm trying to increase my writing stamina to 4 hours. (less)
