My ideas cam…moreAnomaly was a work-in-progress for many years, the original story was completely different to the story I eventually wrote and published. My ideas came from my love of science, particularly physics, and my fascination with the human consciousness. I reasoned, and still reason, that if everything in the universe is made up of the fundamental particles (or perhaps some particles we haven't even discovered yet), then the human mind, thoughts, emotions and memories must also be made up of these particles too. Once this little idea buried itself into my imagination, I couldn't let it go. I then took it one step further and thought about how such particles would exist, even beyond the death of our biological bodies. (less)
