Tracey D. Harris is a graduate in Creative Writing and Media Studies, receiving an Honours degree in 2006. It was during this time of study that the initial idea for the book ‘A Time to Love a Time to Hate’ was born. Her debut novel is an exploration of inter-racial love set against a backdrop of a particularly poignant and pivotal in U.S. history – the Civil Rights era of the 1960s.

A child of immigrants from the Caribbean seeking a better life in the UK in the 1950s, Tracey was born in England and grew up in London in the late 1970s and early 80s. In the 1980s she and her family returned to Trinidad for a few years but finally resettled back in the UK.
