My goal is to inspire women to soar: to identify and pursue their passions and live a joyful and fulfilled life!

It's taken awhile to get here, but I've pulled all my fragmented pieces together to become one person standing in my truth with my whole name. (I used to be Trish Ahjel. Now I'm Trish Ahjel Roberts.)

My 2015 novel, "Chocolate Souffle," is a #sexyfunnysmart journey of love and exploration in 1990s New York City.

My 2020 release, "Thinking Outside the Chrysalis: A Black Woman's Guide to Spreading Her Wings," is a self-help memoir for our time. I share plenty of pain and wisdom using the butterfly's story of transformation. I named my company, HoneyButterflyz, because I'm pretty much obsessed with butterflies.

A Beautiful Mark

“There is no truth, only perception.” I used to say that a lot in my teens and twenties. I remember cutting class to read Plato at Stuyvesant Park in Manhattan in the '80s with my other wild and philosophical friends. I’ve always loved looking for the truths in life. Last week I was caught up in the orbit of my personal world – my business, my birthday, my goals. Then the ball dropped, a complete Read more of this blog post »

Marianne Williamson
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"
