I write Erotic Romance. Or maybe you prefer to think of it as Romantic Erotica. Either way, I hope you enjoy the stories. In addition to the contemporary erotic romance, I sometimes work in other erotic genres. To date, I've penned a couple of erotic horror stories, one fantasy erotic romance novella, and more to come. I have one novel to my name so far, with plans for many more. I don't have any plans to stop writing short stories, either, as I have a blast with those! And, for those of you who are more interested in who I am, here you go: I'm in my early-40s, and happily married to my best friend. We have a dog and no little rug-rats. We live in Southern California, and if you happen by me when I'm writing, you'll most often find me listeI write Erotic Romance. Or maybe you prefer to think of it as Romantic Erotica. And, for those of you who are more interested in who I am, here you go: I'm in my early-40s, and happily married to my best friend. We have a dog and no little rug-rats. We live in Southern California, and if you happen by me when I'm writing, you'll most often find me listening to heavy metal and hard rock music, my jams of choice (as I'm sure you can tell with my novel, His Hard Rockin' Princess). You can probably tell from some other stories that I enjoy sports. Even though I've never written a story about it, my sport of choice (to watch, not play!) is ice hockey. Go Anaheim Ducks! I often write, either a draft or an outline, while watching a Ducks game on TV. My favorite football team is the Baltimore Ravens. It's not because of anything on the field, but because of the Edgar Allan Poe connection. Lame, right? I don't care; I love that logo! (And if you read my short "The Odd Costume Party Fiasco" you'll know what my favorite Poe short story is!) My activities of choice to stay in shape (or at least try) are running and walking. A few years ago I completed two half-marathons, in addition to a number five- and ten-Ks. I'm a bit, shall we say, less in shape these few years later, but I still try. I also enjoy a nice walk with an audiobook playing through my headphones. I also enjoy romance books, fantasy books, some horror, and anything else that has a great story to tell! As for my metal music, which is ultra-important in my life, Corey Taylor is one of my favorite singers, though don't ask me to choose between Slipknot and Stone Sour. (I love them both, especially live!) I also love Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20. (Shut up; I know that's so not metal, but I can't help it!) Korn, Rob Zombie, Red, Shinedown, SIXX:AM, Halestorm, Metallica, The Pretty Reckless, Trivium, Machine Head, and Volbeat are a few other bands I absolutely love. (And there are way too many more to list them all, especially the death metal and grindcore bands I love to listen to while I edit!)...more

I do often think of various tips from famous authors as I'm outlining, writing, and editing, but not one or two in particular. As funny as it sounds since he's a well known horror author and I write romantic erotica, I often think about things Stephen King says. He has so many great tips for writing in general, despite the genre, that if you twisted my arm for one person, it would be him. (His book, On Writing, should be a must-read for all would-be authors!) Otherwise, it's mostly various tips and tricks from the spectrum of writers that I think about when I write. Thank you for the wonderful question, Georgina, and I hoped I answered it to your expectations!(less)

I've learned a lot from that book - maybe more than any other, especially about editing and 'killing all the little ones',,,, Thanks for your reply, Clara, and good luck with your books!...more

Basically, writing is hard, and takes plenty of critical thinking, which takes effort, and isn't it easier to go watch TV or read a book instead? I most often find that if I buckle down, the writer's block is gone after ten or fifteen minutes. Sometimes it simply takes staring at a blank screen or page for that long. That gets so boring that the ol' brain decides it's better to start writing and deal with the difficulties than continue to be bored!(less)
My newest story, a contemporary erotic romance (romantic erotica?), is coming soon. I'm going to hit publish on Amazon tomorrow (Monday), so it should (hopefully) be ready for you to download and read late Monday or early Tuesday. This one is called Board Game Bliss, and it's the first in the Game Night series.
