Tracy Patrick writes and lives in Paisley. Her debut novel, Blushing is for Sinners, was commended by the Saltire First Book of the Year Award judges 2019. It was listed as one of the Best Scottish Books 2019 in ASLS's online magazine, The Bottle Imp. Blushing is for Sinners weaves its narrative between the thread mills of 1960s Paisley, and the old growth forests of contemporary British Columbia. It tells the story of Jean McParland, a mill worker dissatisfied by her small town existence and humdrum job, whose life is turned on its head when old flame, Billy, is released from jail.
