Happy Pub Day To Me!! Yeah, baby!!!!
It’s here.
Today is finally, finally here. All the work, the sweat, the frustration, the joy, the tears, the wadded up papers and post-it notes, the dead laptops, the edit letters, the beta readers, the sleepless nights . . . all have reached a culmination, and now my baby is out there navigating the world. I am a published YA author.

I cannot begin to tell you how good it feels. How thrilling. And how. . . terrifying. There will be good reviews. There will be bad reviews. They happen, and I know that one person’s lousy read is someone elses’s favorite book in the world.
I took a huge (I mean really, really huge) chance on the way I ended the book, and it won’t fly with everyone. But the early reviews for TRAVELER are showing promise that most people are on board (heh. That’s a pirate reference) for where I’m going with this, so it’s my job to keep the momentum going with DREAMER.
I’ve still got some work to do on that one, but today. . . today is all about my baby. I hope you all enjoy TRAVELER as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am so desperately in love with these characters, and I can’t wait for all of you to meet them.

Meet Jessa St. Clair – A Girl In Search Of An Adventure
[image error]
Jessa is a student, a writer, a daughter, a little sister, a good friend, and above all, a dreamer who knows she’s destined for greater things.
As TRAVELER begins, we see her immersed in all of that but still wondering why she feels like something’s missing.
I’ve almost got it figured out—how I’m going to turn this bit of a dream into an idea and then into a story outline with plot points and a clear beginning, and I’ve even got an idea of how I want it to end. I’m just missing the middle.
The story of my life.
I know the beginning—who I am and where I came from. I know I want to be a writer, maybe even a journalist who turns novelist and wins a Pulitzer in both categories. And I’m going to travel—a lot. I’m going to see the world and write about it all and invent new stories about old places. That’s the endgame.
I’m just lacking a middle, and there’s nothing I can do to change that right now . . .
Jessa’s yearning for adventure ends up being a harbinger of things to come, when she learns that she’s an inter-dimensional Traveler, able to shift between different realities and inhabit different versions of herself.
TRAVELER takes Jessa on an epic journey full of fun and adventure, thrills and romance. And it can be yours in FIVE DAYS!!
Don’t forget to check out the Fierce Reads Goodreads giveaway for your chance at a copy!

TRAVELER Review Courtesy Of Hopeful Reads
Many thanks to Annalisse at Hopeful Reads for her recent review of TRAVELER! Here’s a little bit of what she had to say:
“L.E. DeLano’s Traveler was a wonderful debut filled to the brim with unique worlds and vibrant lifestyles. Jessa and Finn quickly found their way into my heart and the compelling characters didn’t even stop there. I’m eagerly anticipating what’s next and definitely recommend this to scifi and fantasy fans.”

So TRAVELER Is About Time Travel, Right? Sorry, But No. . .
I want to give a great big THANK YOU to BookTuber Jacqueline (aka JBookLover) for her shoutout of TRAVELER as one of her most anticipated for 2017!
I really appreciate the plug! But I also feel like I have to clear up a misconception that I keep hearing over and over in association with the book:
This is not a time travel story. I mean, not at all.
I get where the confusion comes in – the promo blurb talks about steampunk and pirates and there’s a pirate ship right on the cover, but Jessa and Finn are shifting through alternate realities, not through time. So while Jessa does find herself in a corset more than once, it’s still in our timeline, just in a different version of the world as we know it. And yes, there’s a pirate ship, but only one pirate, not a bunch of them.
Trust me when I tell you that this one is all the pirate you need. DAYum.
Here’s some of the other stuff you’ll find, though:
Murderous cannibals
Talking dolphins
Glowing dessert food
Also, snarky humor, nail-biting tension, tons of feels and enough romance to curl your toes. Not to mention a plot twist that will either have you fist pumping as a you jump on your couch or throwing the book at the wall. I sincerely hope for the former.
So step aboard and take a ride with TRAVELER! We may not be jumping back through time, but I promise, you won’t be disappointed in the trip.
