A childhood dream that came true
It's easy, when you grow up, to forget abut your childhood dreams. You realise that you're not going to be the prime minister or fly to the moon after all.
Not that I've grown-up much - yes, I'm over eighteen, so classed as an adult, but I'm the sort of person who prefers playing in the sand rather than sunbathing, and I get near-excited over my birthdays, and treat new experiences as a source of wonder.
My childhood dream, was to become a published author. As well as playing outside on my bike, and inside with Lego and artistic, messy, creative things, I was brought up to read books, and I would wish, and wonder and imagine. Of course, unlike some people, and some fantasies about grown-up life when I was little, my dream of having a book (that I had written myself) published never wavered.
It has taken me ages to get to the published stage, and since a hard copy of my book landed in my hands, I feel grateful that I followed my dream.
You must follow yours too.
