Sarah Emsley is a Canadian writer and editor who was born on the prairies, in Edmonton, Alberta, and grew up by the sea, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has published books and essays on Jane Austen, Edith Wharton, and Canadian history, and is currently working on a novel. She lives in Halifax with her family.

Deborah Yaffe read Pride and Prejudice when she was ten and she’s been a passionate Jane Austen fan ever since.
