Actress, Voice Over Artist and Audio Book Narrator/Producer

Although born in South Africa, where I started my dance training, most of my professional training as an actress, singer and dancer was in the UK at a leading theatre arts centre and the Royal Ballet School.

A member of Equity, my performing career started as a Narrator of childrens' radio programmes and followed with performances in theatre, television, cabaret and film. I am a freelance Voice Over Artist and Narrator and and an Audible-Approved Producer working from my studio in the UK.

For leisure, my favourite genres to read are espionage, crime/thrillers and historical fiction and non-fiction. (It's important to mention that books I have rated or reviewed are for the actual

The couple that immediately spring to mind are Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind.

Scarlett’s mischievous, outrageously wilful personality appeals because she is also vulnerable and uses her strength of character to help her through the tests she has to overcome.

Rhett’s ostentatious, devil-may-care attitude and cruelty is balanced by his charm and also the sensitivity he tries to hide from Scarlett.(less)

Wonderful! Once again, Mr Macintyre has delivered a true drama with his usual panache. The history is fascinating. A surprise to me was discovering that Michael Foot (code name BOOT) was in receipt of KGB remuneration for his activites. He always see ...more

"I really struggled to get into this book. The writing style at the beginning didn't grab me and I found it hard to see where the story was going. Became a bit more interesting about 150 pages in but really the book felt like a bit of a slog. "

The story is interesting and there was a twist at the end but the flow of the writing isn't to my taste. It jumped from scene to scene, often by paragraph. What a shame. If you don't mind trying to fathom who "he" or "she" or "they" are when paragrap ...more
