Born in France, I studied hotel management before spending a couple of years in England, Ireland and Belgium.
In 2001, hubby and I settled close to the Loch Ness monster in the Highlands of Scotland, and soon, two children and one dog joined us.

Dramatic scenes are my favourite to work on, which is perhaps a reminiscence of those teenage years when every single ones of my stories had to end in epic tragedy (Shakespeare had nothing on me). Thankfully, these days, I veer towards the happy-ever-after finale set in a glorious orange and red sunset.

My new puppy

I just had to show her to you, she’s so cute!

Her name is Pixie, she’s a cavalier King Charles spaniel. On the pictures, she’s 8 weeks old, but she’s now 11 weeks old, and boy has she grown! She’s my first dog, so I’m probably doing everything wrong, but she’s a proper ray of sunshine in the house. The kids love her and fight to play with her. My little girl treats her like a doll though, so we...

Cheesy, fluffy sweet, unbelievable, characters you can't get attached to so don't care about. Reads like a movie script as there's hardly any description. No emotions on the page.

Both characters are crazy. Well, the psycho killer is worse of course, yet he's so interesting and sick and twisted under his mellow, handsome exterior that I can't help reading. I just hope he gets his comeuppance at the end though, even better if h ...more

Caroline Cairn is 77% done with On the Island: Still no attachment to characters. It reads like a movie script rather than a book. I'm never bored, but I'm never fully engrossed either.

“How this woman had managed to get under his skin and claw her way inside was a mystery.
He couldn’t leave her there though. His entire being was screaming at him to get her out.”
Caroline Cairn, Forever and One Week

“Don’t run away from me, Logan. I’m not sure why you’re scared every time I try and show you some kindness, but don’t reject me. It’s not easy for me either. I’m not a natural. I’ve forgotten how it feels to put down the barriers and let someone in.”
Caroline Cairn, Forever and One Week

“In the light, he looked like a fallen angel asked to return to Hell.”

Ele Hey there...thanks for the invite:)

message 6: by Meep

Meep I was reading them as they came out and got really disheartened before the end. It's probably better to just read the ones that appeal but I like to take the opportunity to try different things.

Good luck, there are some great writers that participate.

message 5: by Meep

Meep I've never sent a prompt, too nervous, wasn't that keen on the last lot of fics they put out.
Good Luck with your story, I hope you like the fic you get.

Meep Thanks for the friendvite :)
and yay a fellow Brit (near enough!) I'm in Wales.

Monique Thank you for your Kind words Angel, and thank you for the friend invite. I hope that any other recommendations will be just as successful! I look forward to chatting with you:)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Haha! Yes, 3 books is hard, but I put that there to keep from being spammed by people just looking to up their friend count. *sigh* And honestly, I read so many books, I'd be very bored if I only loved the WARDen's stories!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thanks for the friend invite, Secret!!! It really is hard to narrow it down to just 3, isn't it? :)

I enjoy your posts in the BDB group and look forward to getting to know you better!

Just an FYI - Goodreads has this weird quirky thing goin' on and to reply to my post, or any post made in your profile comments (such as this one), you have to click on my name, go to my profile, scroll down until you see the comment box and then post there. If you reply here, I won't get notification of it.

Have a wonderful weekend!!
