Born youngest in a family of six children, I was raised in the mitten state. Accustomed to the cool white sandy Lake Michigan shores, transplanting to Nevada fifteen years ago was a type of parched culture shock for me. In time, I grew to appreciate my arid nest and have entertained many snowbirds since: A favorite go-to place is The Fountains at Bellagio.
