But, after a bit of thought, without a doubt, I would have to say, the world of the Railway Mice of Countesthorpe.

Countesthorpe is where I grow up, so I have a lot of good memories from this small village. Plus I love my characters who reflect the rich personalities of people that I had the pleasure of getting to know over the years.

As far as what I would do, thats easy. First, I'd have to get use to being a mouse and give myself a name. Then I'd explore the old railway station and go find my characters. Of course I have a inside 'track' on where they live! I'd do all the things that the mice do in my book. Play, is something that's at the top of their list, so I know I would have lots of fun. After a couple of days spent with the mice I would have to go take a tour of the village. Along the way I'd visit George the poet who's a pig, Owl, the great long eared owl, who doesn't eat mice!, Of course the fairies who live at the paddock would be a must to visit. Also the wonderful Mr. Pickles who is a reflection of someone I loved dearly; my grandfather. It would be an adventure, something worth writing about. Who knows, I might do just that!(less)

What blows me away is the thought that everyone out there is now looking at the inside of my head! At first I felt very exposed. 'What if everyone thinks my book is rubbish!' I thought to my self. It's like having cold feet before your wedding.
Once the feedback started coming back from my readers, all my fears were gone. The reviews I've had so far have been great. Not only do kids enjoy my book, but adults too.
Being a author is really cool.(less)
