New series! SPAR: Rescue & Romance

Dragon Intrigues is coming soon!
In the Amazon store June 22.

I’m beyond stoked to tell you about my new series. SPAR: Rescue & Romance is another set of interconnected yet stand-alone novels. The series boasts lots of action and adventure as well as tangled sheets and transcendent love.

The heroes are all shifters, all different, all servicemen. Due to popular demand their curvy brides are spunky sharp-witted gals with smart mouths.

Special Paranormal All Ranks is a military-style organization dedicated to policing criminals who use their paranormal talents for evil. Currently, SPAR is rooting out the vicious psi-mobsters they have code-named Vector. A classic battle between virtue and depravity.

I’m kicking off with Dragon Intrigues. Blythe Warren is a fierce feisty BBW from Mystic Bay. Her uncle is everyone’s favorite sheriff, Wally Babcock. Let’s just say this brave bunny doesn’t hop far from the family tree.

Neil Drake is a dragon with several issues: he’s been axed from Special Forces; the head of his clan has forbidden him to shift; and he has a bum leg and nightmares. Also a hankering for the taboo bunny-next-door, who’s been told to keep away from predators.

Work in Progress: Phoenix

NEW PHOENIX/WOLF ROMANCE!

Good news! I have finally started writing Eleanor D’Angelo’s love story. If you aren’t sure who she is, you need to read my Alpha Phoenix series. Eleanor is the last remaining unwed D’Angelo sibling. And this fall she gets her very own fated mate.

This one has been a long time coming. Thanks to everyone who gave me a nudge. Eleanor has now completed her surgical residency, earning a promotion and a new posting in California. Her fated mate is a werewolf with some issues, and a ton of secrets.

This story will be the start of a new phoenix series, so I am on the hunt for a new series name. It needs to be hot but not overt. And it must tell readers at a glance that they are about to read steamy, paranormal romantic suspense with a happy ending.

This is the moment when I should whip out a link to a survey. But I would rather have your unprompted ideas. When I have a list, I can ask for votes.

Please, please leave your suggestions in the comments. Also your times for the jigsaw. Or anything else you want to tell me.

C.D. Gorri’s Marked by the Devil + the Wolf Pack!

Fellow Wolf Pack author C.D. Gorri has a new release! Plus the Wolf Pack readers group is an awesome place to meet other fans of PNR and to interact with your favorite authors. It doesn’t matter what your favorite PNR is. Vampires, werewolves, bears, cougars, fairies. We’ve got them all. Tell us what you most enjoy, in person.

I regularly post stuff there such as videos of tiger cubs, amusing memes, or new jigsaw puzzles like today’s. And every day, authors post their free and 99c PNR books.

We have ourselves some good times. Writing is a solitary profession. Brighten a lonely author’s day and make yourself happy too.

Rough Cut from Phoenix Alight

Bearshifter Cameron Reynolds and his fated mate, phoenix shifter Frankie D’Angelo, began as a sidebar to her brother Harrison’s story in Phoenix Aflame.

Frankie and Cam’s HEA was originally supposed to be my Christmas short story. But their romance needed to be longer than that 15k limit, so I wrote a different story. When I came back to their story, the new plot of Alight did not mesh with this old material, so I didn’t include it.

This means, tragically, that six-year-old Quincy and Becky hiding behind Poppy Danger’s chair while Cameron bares his soul never happened. That would have been comedy gold.

I also made Cameron’s injuries much greater in the published version – he loses his bear and suffers from survivor’s guilt. But his Frankie was still the cure. And their stubborn you-give-in personalities remained the same.

Enjoy both the outtake and the jigsaw. Use the comments to let me know what you think, and your times too.

Outtake from my New Release: Dazzled by a Dragon

Last week, Dazzled by a Dragon hit the Amazon store, so now I can share my outtakes with you.

I am a true seat-of-the-pants writer, which means my characters take over. When they decide to have an adventure, off they go, riding roughshod over my outline, and leaving me choking on their dust.

I wind up cutting a lot of stuff from my final manuscripts. Originally Dazzled by a Dragon had this cool sub-plot involving drug-running sharks. Unfortunately, that kind of suspense doesn’t belong in Fun & Flirty books, so this material wound up being dumped.

Sorry, Ian and Kim.

Dazzled is the 8th and last book in the Mystic Bay series. But we haven’t seen the last of the people of Mystic Bay!

I have started a new series set on the neighboring island of Hyde. Watch for Wolf Whistle this summer!

Here is an outtake I hope to be able to use in one of the Mystic Tails romances, although probably not Wolf Whistle.

This is material cut from Dazzled.

Enjoy! And let me know what you think of its possibilities.

New release: Dazzled by a Dragon + Excerpt

Dazzled by a Dragon is in the Amazon store May 9.

Dazzled is the 8th and last book in the Mystic Bay series, and maybe the best yet! I am thrilled to share it with you at last.

Robin and Sully get married. Both Ian and Alister Drake find their true loves. Paranormal adventures, small-town meddling and a whole lot of steam make Dazzled another page-turner you’ll stay up late to finish.

When her family goes hot-rock prospecting, crystal tuner Kim is left to guard their secret caverns beneath Mystic Bay. Ian literally falls into this mysterious, heady, paranormal wonderland and finds what he immediately recognizes as his fated mate.

However, Kim uses her psychic powers to suppress his memories of her and the caves. But you can’t make a dragon forget his destined bride that easily!

Here is an excerpt from Dazzled.

Enjoy!

Snippet of Dazzled by a Dragon!

Dazzled by a Dragon is coming soon!

Dazzled is the final book in the Mystic Bay series. But we haven’t seen the last of the people of Mystic Bay!

I have started a new series set on the neighboring island of Hyde. Watch for Wolf Whistle this summer!

The hero of Dazzled is a dragon with some issues. Kim is a crystal worker and Keeper of the secret crystal caves that lie beneath Mystic Bay. When Ian stumbles into them, it’s time for some hijinks, a few misunderstandings, and a whole lot of loving.

Here is a sneak peek of Dazzled. Enjoy!

Snowed in with the Bear is back!

Snowed in with the Bear has been reissued as a standalone story. This is not a true new release, because Snowed in appeared in the 2018 multi-author holiday box set, Happy Howlidays. This bundle was withdrawn last month.

Calvin was one side of the lovers’ triangle in Bear Fate. I created Amanda Arruta both as comic relief and to give Calvin another love interest. While there is still plenty of banter in Snowed in with the Bear, there is also some nail-biting action and some serious loving!

Enjoy this snippet from Bear Fate as Amanda and Calvin’s claws-first relationship is established. This incident is in Amanda’s mind as she finds herself trapped in a snowbank in grizzly form…
