“Vivian, look!’ chirped Kate, looking up at the amber skies. ‘It’s a sundog!’
Vivian stared into the waking light of Christmas dawn and saw not one, but two rising suns. ‘They’re rare, these. Must be the low-hanging ice crystals creating an echo. A mirror to the sun.’ Like an enormous blade of Æbe’trax, the parhelion had parted the sky in two sectors – one small and made out of dawn, the other large and moulded by nightfall. Each side was dominated by its own mirror-sun, strung across the low firmament like two Christmas baubles. Vivian squinted. The larger sun was grazed by a shadow.” Louise Blackwick |

“With his tongue between his teeth, Officer Wally cocked his weapon and took aim.
BANG! Mario felt the bullet enter his left foot, but carried on running undeterred. In place of screams, there was laughter. The golden ecstasy supplied by the drug was at its peak. It wouldn’t be long now; he could feel it. BANG! The second bullet caught him in his right foot, yet he dared not stop. It was near now, so near... BANG! “He missed,” Mario thought initially, but as he brought his hands to his lips, he tasted iron. Both his palms were bleeding profusely, and so were his feet. He laughed once again – head spinning, heart dancing, mind burdened by his search for meaning – his wet eyes on the velvet sky. The clouds were clearing. ‘The spear!’ he shouted to the heavens above. ‘Don’t forget the spear!’ It happened faster than any pair of eyes could capture it: the fourth bullet cut through the air with a tangible screech, and the nearby building exploded into applause. Like a marionette whose strings had b ...more Louise Blackwick |

“Vivian’s first impression of Solidago was that she had travelled back in time, but not to a time where architecture had been invented. All houses were twisted out of shape, to say the least. Windows either too large to open or too small to make a difference peppered the city in places one would never dream of having one.
The walls were mostly cast in brickwork by the kind of stonemason whose day job was financial advising. Skewed walls with more bricks than mortar, knotted chimneys keeping the smoke inside and cupping rooftops whose main purpose was to gather rainwater – Solidago had it all and more.
As the oldest civilization of the cosmos, Alarians might have been excellent at healing, philosophizing and weaving into the fabric of reality, but they were very poor city builders.”

“By weaving their thoughts and feelings into the substance of reality, the Weavers had ensured anyone writing about them would secure an instant bestseller – which wasn’t particularly difficult, considering the Weavers held the strings on the one holding the pen.

I'm super excited to announce the HARDBACK edition of my sci-fi novel "5 Stars" will be released on November 30th, 2022!
Written in a completely new subgenre - NEON SCIENCE-FICTION - "5 Stars" has done incredibly well in my home country (the Netherlands) and will be opening to international markets sometime next year.
The hardback release of "5 Stars" will be accompanied by a ton of goodies and surprises, so make sure you keep an eye out for future announcements!
Not yet caught up? Check out the book synopsis below:
ABOUT THE BOOK
Five days before the inevitable end of humanity, five unlikely heroes find themselves on an impossible quest to outlive the apocalypse.
Aurora, Stella, Rolf, Tümay and Sorano must challenge themselves to beat the Neon God’s Algorithm in a crumbling, totalitarian, surveillance state complicated by crime, technology and civil unrest. Under the ubiquitous eye of the Neon God, they set out to collect “Gold Stars” – an elusive, difficult to obtain, merit-based currency – and secure a seat on the last shuttle to Luna.
In a desperate attempt to save her baby daughter, Aurora must navigate the Dark and do her utmost to survive the last technological remnants of a dying civilization.

WHO AM I
My name is Louise Blackwick and I'm an author based in the Netherlands.
My body of work is distinguished by the presence of Jungian themes, concepts and imagery which I superimpose over popular genres like fantasy, science-fiction and psychological thrillers.
My obsession with Jungian archetypes, hermetic symbolism and states of altered consciousness has so far allowed me to push the boundaries of fiction and uncover new ways of writing: ways that include experimental stories heavy on imagination.
MY MISSION
Through my Jungian Writing Series, I hope to bring back the wisdom we are in so much danger of losing and share it with the world, so that it may guide and inspire future generations of writers.
I hope your support will allow me to continue my exploration of Jungian fiction, boundary-pushing, experimental storytelling and literary best practices rooted in the collective unconscious.

My name is Louise Blackwick - a Dutch jungian-nietzschean writer, author of many thought-provoking stories themed on "surrealism", "subjective reality" and "states of altered consciousness".
I write and publish in English and I am a long-term pupil of the psychoanalyst Carl Jung. My body of work is distinguished by the presence of JUNGIAN THEMES & CONCEPTS, such as: "individuation", "synchronicity", "archetypes", "shadow-work" and "the collective unconscious".
This year, I am willing to escape inside someone else's imagination. I am particularly interested in reading stories that are similar to my own writing, meaning "POPULAR FICTION with JUNGIAN UNDERTONES."
Anyone reading this comment, feel free to recommend such stories/authors.
The more jungian, the better. :)
Thank you dearly in advance!
