Kylie Day is a lover of books and stories, an avid reader, and a passionate writer. Last time she counted the books in her bookshelves, she had over five hundred of them (the digital library was too extensive to count). While physical books feel magical in her hands - and smell even more magical - she prefers to buy ebooks because she doesn't have any room for more bookshelves. If she had the money she would buy a library, just to fill it with amazing books.

Her love for books is why she, as of the spring of 2015, has a BA in literature. She could never see her life progressing in any other way since that first time she picked up a book and read it with fervor as well as stuck her nose in it just to smell the magic on the pages.

If that doesn’t work, I usually do something other than staring at a blank screen. Something like going out for a walk, making more coffee, listening to music, reading something that I know will inspire me one way or another, making more coffee (oh, did I say that already?), or just taking a nap.(less)

Gary Provost
“This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals–sounds that say listen to this, it is important.”
Gary Provost

“We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.”

“Once your mindset changes, everything on the outside will change along with it.”

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.”
