Hi, Jennifer! For Pink Carnation withdrawal, I recommend taking one dose of the Anthony Andrews "Scarlet Pimpernel" with a side of ginger biscuits.

Thank you!! I'm so happy you've enjoyed the Pink books so!

Anyway, in answer to your question, if the planets were ever in alignment, I would love love love to write two more Pink books (one about Kat and Tommy, one about Lizzy and Nicolas). I've also been toying with two different spin-off ideas: a Georgian-set mystery series featuring Lord and Lady Uppington in their riotous youth, or a 1940s-set mystery/spy series about Arabella Selwick-Alderley.

Whether any of these will ever happen, goodness only knows....(less)

Weekly Reading Round-Up

Happy Saturday, all!

Apologies for being a day behind– I’ve been deep in research material for the next book and emerged with surprise to find I was two centuries away and a day late for Reading Round-Up.

When I haven’t been living in the 1790s and early 1800s, I had the fun of finishing up the new Jennifer Cruisie and Bob Meyer Liz Danger series with the third and final book in the series, One in V

“Patience is only a virtue when there is something worth waiting for.”
Lauren Willig, The Masque of the Black Tulip

“Old books exert a strange fascination for me -- their smell, their feel, their history; wondering who might have owned them, how they lived, what they felt.”
Lauren Willig

“Whether I like it or not, most of my images of what various historical periods feel, smell, or sound like were acquired well before I set foot in any history class. They came from Margaret Mitchell, from Anya Seton, from M.M. Kaye, and a host of other authors, in their crackly plastic library bindings. Whether historians acknowledge it or not, scholarly history’s illegitimate cousin, the historical novel, plays a profound role in shaping widely held conceptions of historical realities.”

Lauren Willig Hi, Mary! Sadly, that's a decision that's out of my hands. The two little things I self-published ("Two L" and "Ivy & Intrigue") are both sharing enabled, so feel free to pass those around!

message 15: by Mary

Mary I have read a lot of your books - mostly on my kindle. I would like to share them but your publisher doesn't want your kindle books to be shared :( It would be a great way to get more people reading your books!

Thanks, Brooke! There are two new books coming out this year-- "Mischief of the Mistletoe" in October and "Orchid Affair" in January. Right now, I'm working on the ninth in the series, which is about Augustus Whittlesby, the crazy poet.
